Very soon will have the first products with the new SoC of AMD Ryzen V1000, this type of soldered processors in plate go destined to tablets, 2 in 1, ultrabooks and motherboards with low power consumption. An interesting product because basically it is identical to the latest APU Ryzen but in a more compact package.
The new SoC AMD Ryzen V1000 have been seen in different leaks . We have support for DDR4 memory up to 3200 MHz, PCI-E 8x connector, mini PCI-E, mSATA disk connector and also M.2. A board that is focused on an industrial environment but could have a version intended for miniPC or mobile devices without any problem.
The data of Ryzen V1000 band together with the leaks for the AMD series R SoC’s known as Great Horned Owl , a miniature version of the current AMD APU Ryzen that maintain much of its interesting specifications. Within this SoC we have a Vega GPU with 11 Compute Units with H.265 support that allows for DisplayPort 1.3 and HDMI 2.0 4K@60fps video outputs. We can also see USB 3.1 support up to 10 Gbps, eMMC 5.1 support in addition to SATA and NVMe connections. The consumption of these SoC would be between 12 and 45 W depending on the configuration, it is expected that these SoC will be presented at the Embedded World 2018 fair at the end of this month of February, without a doubt a very good rival for the Intel Gemini Lake.
