[Desktop PC/All-in-One PCs] How to transfer files between mobile device and Desktop PC/All-in-One PCs by NFC function

  1. NFC Operating SOP on ASUS Desktop PC/ All-in-One PC
  2. First of all, please kindly make sure below 3 points before starting NFC operation.
    a. Your mobile device supports NFC function and has app named “ NFC EXPRESS “ inside your mobile device.
    b. Your desktop PC / All-in-One PC has hardware for NFC.
    c. Your desktop PC / All-in-One PC has relative software for NFC ( like ASUS Manager ).

 

*NOTICE: You may download the latest version of NFC-EXPRESS from Google Play and install it to your NFC-enabled mobile device.

  • Ensure that your PC is turned on when using NFC EXPRESS
  • Ensure that your PC and your NFC-enabled mobile device is on the same home network or accessing the same router which is needed when transferring photos.
  • Find the NFC N Mark  on your PC/All-in-One to locate its NFC sensor.
  • Ensure to position your PC/All-in-One in an orientation where its NFC sensor is accessible and free from obstructions.

 

 

  1. There are three main features:WINDOWS LOGON,QUICK LAUNCH, and PHOTO EXPRESS.

 

  1. WINDOWS LOGON

WINDOWS LOGON allows you to wirelessly log-on to your PC’s/All-in-One’s Windows account using your NFC-enabled mobile device when you turn on your PC/All-in-One when your screen gets locked due to user inactivity.

 

*NOTE : You need to create a WINDOWS LOGON account first before you can use this feature.*

 

  1. To create an account:
  2. Launch NFC EXPRESS on your NFC-enabled device.
  3. Go to WINDOWS LOGON and key in an account name and password then touch “Create”.

*NOTE : Ensure to use the same account and password of your PC / All-in-One in WINDOWS LOGON account.

 

  1. To log-on to your PC using WINDOWS LOGON :
  2. Launch NFC Express on your NFC-enabled device.
  3. Go to WINDOWS LOGON > Logon then select a log-on account.
  4. Tap your NFC-enabled device to the NFC-enabled device to the NFC sensor of your PC/All-in-One then touch or tap the screen of your NFC-enabled device to log-on to your PC/All-in-One.

 

  1. Open the “ASUS Manager” software, select ” TOOL->NFC Express->WINDOWS LOGON “, and confirm the Current User Account, then you may log-on and link with your NFC-enabled device.

  1. QUICK LAUNCH

QUICK LAUNCH enables you to run applications or open files that saved on a profile. When you select a profile, QUICK LAUNCH automatically launches the app or open the files for you.

 

*NOTE*
By default, there are ten empty profiles, and you can configure a profile on your PC/All-in-One by adding files or apps into it.
You can add more than one file to a profile, but you cannot add a folder.

 

1) From PC/All-in-One to NFC-enabled device

  1. Go to ASUS MANAGER > Tool > NFC Express > QUICK LAUNCH > QUICK LAUNCH > Profile x ( x = profile name ), then click “ Next “

 

  1. Click the plus sign (+) to add files or apps.
  2. Put your NFC-enabled device close to NFC sensor location.

 

  1. Select the suitable software to open the photos.

 

2) From NFC-enabled device to PC/All-in-One

  1. Launch NFC Express on your NFC-enabled device.
  2. Touch QUICK LAUNCH, and choose a profile (A), then touch “Launch“ (B)
  3. Tap the NFC-enabled device close to the NFC sensor on your PC, then touch the screen of your NFC-enabled device to launch the selected profile.

 

  1. PHOTO EXPRESS

PHOTO EXPRESS enables you to transfer pictures or image files from your NFC-enabled device to your PC/All-in-One.

*NOTE: image file format supports JPG/JPEG (.jpg), GIF (.gif), PNG (.png), BMP (.bmp), and WEBP (.webp)

 

To transfer pictures or image files using PHOTO EXPRESS:

  1. Connect both PC/All-in-One and the NFC-enabled device on the same network ( LAN ) or WiFi router.
  2. Launch NFC EXPRESS on your NFC-enabled device.
  3. Touch PHOTO EXPRESS then select the pictures or image files to transfer.
  4. Tap your NFC-enabled device to the NFC sensor on your PC/All-in-One then touch the screen of your NFC-enabled device to start the transfer.

*NOTE: Default setting of the saving folder for the pictures or image files is c:/This PC/Pictures of your PC/All-in-One. To change the folder, please go to ASUS MANAGER > NFC > Browse then select a new folder.
