Intel launched its Gemini Lake line of low-power Celeron and Pentium processors late last year, but so far most of the Gemini Lake-powered computers we’ve seen have been desktops rather than notebooks, tablets or convertibles.

The new Gemini Like SoCs feature improved CPU cores over the previous generation, an enhanced media decoding/encoding engine, and a new display pipeline. Intel promises to offer higher performance than predecessors while consuming about 6 W or 10 W, depending on the application. The higher-end Gemini Lake SKUs will be sold under the Pentium Silver brand, whereas the entry-level models will carry the Celeron name.

Now there’s soon a Mini PC (ACEPC AK2, AK1 and AK2 have big differences in CPU and shape) with a Gemini Lake processor that you can actually buy.

The ACEPC AK2 is such a Mini PC which is better (Clocked higher, More memory bandwidth) than the Cherry trail series. Since ACEPC AK1 is featured with 32GB of eMMC, 4GB of DDR3L memory and pre-installed with Windows 10 OS, ACEPC AK2 is expected to have better specification in hardware. Users can add a Micro SD card up to 128GB to expand the storage.

ACEPC AK1 desktop vs HP Elite Slice review
Both HP Elite Slice and ACEPC AK1 are very similar in shape.  Any of them is a conventional business-focused mini desktop on the surface, but it also has a port on the bottom that allows you to stack it on top of other modules, adding and removing functionality as needed.  Click for more details.
